..and so I was unleashed upon this realm.
I've worked in pizza shops, an electronics store, an ice cream parlor and a Fortune 500 financial company. I've built retirement plans for corporations and small businesses, moved millions of dollars in the dark of the night from one investment fund to another and gotten drunk in the parking garage after many a successfully completed project. I left that business for obscure reasons to begin my dalliance with medicine. I thoroughly enjoy poking people with needles.
I've dabbled in Information Technology and started my collegiate career chasing a degree in Psychology, never bringing either into fruition as a career.
...but still, I am a student.
I have learned a lot in my 36 years. More so than many and far less than some, but what I've not yet mastered is myself. I suck at it. My performance is perpetually poor. I've managed 2 & 1/2 careers, yet I cannot manage to decide who I want to be. Not in the most spiritual of senses nor professionally. Until recently, I thought of the Monday through Friday, 9-5 as the epitome of professional bliss. What could be better than a set routine. You know what time to wake up. You know what time to get to work. You even know when to eat and go to sleep.
Oh..how is was wrong! Call me the Burger King, because I want it my way.. I define who, what and where I am. I define how hard I work and what that work entails. This blog is the beginning of my journey.
If I'm lucky I'll figure out how to get paid to do it...
